YALE SENSCHECK™ sensors can tell you if your Forté composite doors are open, closed or locked and notifies you via your smart device if the status changes. YALE SENSCHECK™ ready is pre-fitted to most Forté composite doors however doors with town locks would require after-fit sensors.

A multi-point lock is a standard feature on all Forté composite doors to minimise the threat of break-in and there’s patented door seal technology to lower heat loss volumes.

Advance security by ordering our instant auto-engage locking system as an upgrade to any Forté door. There are rollers housed inside the lock and they guide the ultra-secure thick 20mm locking bolts into position to seal the door perfectly, even if it isn’t completely closed. Choose transparent or patterned glass first...

The Forté collection can be chosen with one of four Low-E toughened obscure glass designs or Low-E toughened transparent glass.

Clear glass attracts optimal natural light, and enhances your view while allowing you to clearly see visitors at the door. A slightly reduced quantity of light will beam through obscured glass, but your view of visitors will be far less clear to see.

You can even change your Forté door’s hardware colour...

Forté doors hardware fixings come in seven colour options. Every handle and door knocker in the collection has its own distinctive appearance. Chrome and white remains popular, with black the new contender on the block.

Many Forté doors can have a matching traditional handle, lever pad or bar, bow, D or V-shaped handle on the interior and exterior sides of the door, or an escutcheon plate will be placed internally in your matching colour.

Forte composite doors facing North or South?

Please consider the elevation of your home before you choose the Forté composite doors outer colour. Regardless of which front door manufacturer you choose, a composite or UPVC front door facing a southerly direction, which gets the sun all day long, will be far better in white or a light colour.

If the door faces a northerly aspect and gets little sun then any colour will be fine. Why? Forté composite doors and UPVC front doors will expand slightly in the hottest of weather conditions and contract in the coldest so, the doors adjustment must be exceptionally accurate to cope with the variation.

If the door is out by a millimetre or two it can stick in hot weather or be draughty in the cold. Something as simple as the colour choice avoids the issue altogether, because a pale colour will reflect more of the sun’s heat away than a darker colour will.
